Voting YES on proposition B will bring many new changes to the San Diego community. Not only will it improve the massive traffic we have to deal with, but it will also open a window to better funding our county's education. Prop B proposes a two year limit on position of a supervisor of the San Diego County board member; I believe this will be a great way to bring new leadership as well as new ideas into improving San Diego County. Over the years there have been the same leaders and San Diego hasn’t found the way to decrease the traffic that occurs because there is a lack of funding due to the incumbents that are taking over the money. The lack of funding relates to the different things that the current leaders are using to spend their money on such as preparing for the next election in order for them to get re-elected. Placing a limit on the terms that can be served would give the new candidates a better chance in getting elected instead of the incumbents having all the power which is usually the case. I think that passing prop B there will be much more funding headed towards our education committee saying so there will be less budget cuts at schools and more programs that simulate the arts and music talents of a child.
Although I do not find myself as being much or a Democrat I feel that everyone should get the same opportunity in getting elected to become part of the board of supervisors. I feel that incumbents tend to build up too much power that the people have no saying in what they want because they see a man that has a lot of power and money to get re-elected without their vote. This proposition would benefit me because it would mean that there would be a chance of getting new people onto the board and working to make San Diego a better county providing more funding towards education and clearing our freeways.Although I come from a republican base I feel that education in San Diego should be given more funding than what it has been receiving in order to give children the best education they can get in order to complete with other foreign students in college.
